Scot Alan Shier was born and raised in the state of Washington. He graduated from Meadowdale High School as Valedictorian in 1978 and
continued to excel at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated with academic honors in 1982, acquiring a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Scot then went on to acquire his Master of Science Degree in Systems Management
from the University of Southern California in 1985.
During Scot?s ten years of service in the U. S. Air Force, he logged 120 hours flying military jets, launched a dozen Titan III & IV Rockets with satellites and worked on four Space Shuttle missions. For his last tour of duty, he was the Budget and Program Control Officer for the Secretary of the Air Force?s Special Projects (i.e., National Reconnaissance Office.)
Scot began his career in the Finance Industry with Dean Witter Reynolds in 1994, acquiring his FINRA(formerly NASD) Licenses as a General Securities Registered Representative and State Securities Agent. In 1997 Scot established an independent investment practice and began authoring financial newsletters and articles for both local and national publications.
Scot is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER?, and licensed as both an Investment Advisor Representative and a General Securities Registered Principal. He is also insurance licensed for providing life, health, disability, long-term care, and annuity contracts.
